The other day we were sitting in the living room and Shadow started trying to catch something outside the front window. I figured there was a bird or a squirrel out there but no - she was trying to catch the water that was dripping down the chain outside. Silly cat It was then time to wrestle with her brother, which is a daily occurrence: Finally, they have both had to get used to their new "brother", Boxie Rox. They still give us the "really, Mom, does he HAVE to stay?" At least they aren't running from him anymore AND he's started to learn what "NO KITTY!" means! Boxie Rox the Great Dane @ 9 weeks Love these guys! Thank you Arlene, for such wonderful kitties!

Great shots Deb!! Now how many 4 leggers do you have??? A Great Dane!! It's never gonna be a dull moment Stealer really does have wonderful colour and markings!! Don't know if Arlene is putting out a calendar for 2013 but he sure looks like he could make it on there. I hope shadow gets her turn to be on top once and a while. She looks so big stretched up on the window until you see her with her Big brother The Steller Jays are out in full force here on the Island. Big blue and beautiful, different from a Blue Jay. Love how the cats (mostly Blue) go nuts when one whooshes by a window. It snowed last night Hope it hasn't killed my Daffodils

It's snowing (or at least trying to) here. I wouldn't worry - the daffodils seem to be pretty resilient to this weather!
Boxie makes 3 dogs along with the two cats. Neither of the cats were very happy with him the first weekend and I kept telling Stealer to just stand his ground and smack the puppy. He wouldn't listen though and kept running away. Now that he doesn't run he's not interesting AND he's started to "lay down the paw" when needed.
Stealer is a very handsome boy and Shadow is coming into her own. She cracks me up every day and is very much a momma's girl. She will fall on the floor (on her head, even) to make sure she gets pets and belly rubs. Then she will want you to throw her toys for hours.
I'd be happy to get good pictures of Stealer for a calendar if Arlene decides to make one.

Those are fantastic pictures Deb! Isn't if funny how much balance these guys have? The lack of a dial sure doesn't slw them down, does it?!?
Boxie Rox is a great looking guy! Enjoy him while he's small, he'll be huge soon enough...

Those are so funny to see how they play .. now try it with 10 of them running around :-) I would have put out a calendar last year but Cyndi is the one who has made it for us for the past several years. You all know there is no way I could figure out how to do it, but this past year she was moving from AR back to WA so she didn't have the time or energy to do one.. but we might be able to talk her into one for this year if we all bug her :-) How cute is that pup?? I had 2 Danes years ago. one named Noah was a Fawn with Black and the other was a Harlequin named ( ready for this .. SPOT! He was from Germany and finished up at 45' at the shoulder & 7' on his hind legs and he weighed 237 lb.. he was a monster.. loved that guy.. he was something else.. not typical for sure in many ways . I had to take him to the vet in our horse trailer !!
