Just want to send you a public Thank You for bringing Scooter to us.
He is just such a fantastic cat, and his personality is just so special. He's sweet, funny, smart, loving & protective of Jenny. He's healthy, strong and fantastic looking, too.
Every time someone comes to the house, one of the first things they do is ask about Scooter. They don't have to wait long, he appears soon enough and greets them. I believe he remembers our friends, as he greets each of them differently, based on their personalities. He knows who likes to pick him up, who likes to go get a toy to play with him, who likes to give him a treat, and who likes to rough house. He also knows one friend of mine is allergic to cats, and keeps his distance. He'll show off for everyone, and knows when he's the center of attention, and when we are doing other things.
When someone new comes over, there is a 30 minute discussion on Desert Lynx cats. Even "Dog People" who swear they will never own a cat end up digging him. When I go to the vet, everyone there comments on how sweet he is when they see him. Customers, doctors, even the gals in the front office just love him to death, and it's pretty much common place for them to say, "That's the coolest cat that we've had in here in a long time".
It's interesting for both Sugar & I to see the small changes in his personality as he matures. There are very small changes about every six months as he grows out of one phase, and finds new things that interest him.
I have to admit, we were both a little apprehensive when we bought a cat "off of the internet" from someone 800 miles away that we have never met. That being said, we have both agreed it was one of the best decisions we ever made.
Anyway, Thank You Arlene...
