Ok, so after loosing Bear, I have had the worst time going in the cattery each morning, until I see that they all have 4 on the floor, then I can breath. Well yesterday I opened the cattery and didn't find Simba standing at his door looking and calling to me.. he was in a ball curled up in his bed. My heart stopped, I opened the door and he stretched and looked at me, didn't say his usual morning meows, I looked and he hadn't touched his food, or water, he hadn't used the litter box, so of coarse I grabbed him and off to the vet we went..My poor vet .. he saw me coming up the drive and knowing I didn't have a appointment he just knew it wasn't good.. He took us right in and examined Simba.. as it turns out he has a little cold and a small kidney infection in his left kidney, but he will be fine. I of coarse broke down with happiness..
2 days ago we had to put to sleep one of our older house dogs, Cy, she was 15 and got into a fight with 2 very big Rottie type stray dogs that came on the farm..at her age, the internal injuries would require surgery that her old body just couldn't take, so we had to release her from the old body
.. it has been a very sad year so far with animal losses, so when I saw Simba was not well, I lost it all over again !
The house cat's and the other house dog "Ghost" all still look for Cy and seam a little depressed.. funny/sad how they get so attached to each other.
But soon the house will hold new arrivals to make me laugh and to spread joy to others.. can't wait to see what we get this time

BUT I THINK HE IS ENJOYING BEING IN AND GETTING TONS OF ATTENTION 
So very sorry to hear about Cy. Terrible way to go. What happened with those stray dogs?? Ron and I are still going back and forth about an Indian Dog. We do get so attached to our animals and just like you knew there was something wrong with Simba. We all know when are pets are upset and I really worry for Emma. She's just a delicate flower to me.
No, he doesn't try to get out, the others don't really know he is in the house because he is in our master bath and it's on the other side of the room from the door. Simba is with out a doubt the most wonderful cat ever!! He has never sprayed! He lets me give him his shots 2 times a day and I am also giving him sterile ringers subQ 2 to 3 times a day because he was dehydrated. Today he is talking up a storm, before he would just lay in his bed..So I might even let him go back out to his house tomorrow.. just have to see how he is tomorrow.
