I had the back door in the bedroom open today because it was hot in there, it needed to air it out a bit. I went back to check, and Scooter was nosing his way out of the door into the back yard. He didn't hear me coming, so I clapped my hands, and that scared him.
He tried to do a four wheel burn out on the tile, and fell flat over on his left side. Just fell right over. He got back up and gave me the most embarrassed look I've ever seen.
I'm still laughing, wish I had that one on video...

ROTFL ;D ;D Some times I don't think any thing would help them when they do silly things They can keep me entertained for hours some days.. and then other days But a tail is used for balance when jumping or climbing.. since some have a little tail and other have no tail .. Wait, that doesn't sound right .. not sure how to put it Dan, but you get what I'm saying I don't think a tail would have helped in that case. I've seen them slide around a corner on their side after the slip. For me it's late and I've had a long day, so think I'll quite before I get myself in a deeper hole.. Kim is trying to hook up our new dishwasher since the old one died and he is not a happy camper right now.. so better go see if I can help, he is surrounded by cat's that all want to help I think .

It was hilarious for sure.
We've all see the back end slide out when they go around a corner too fast, but this was both ends at once. He gave it full throttle on all four wheels and leaned into the acceleration, and then found out those 21 claws have zero traction on tile. It was like the Roadrunner cartoon where there is a flurry of activity with his feet, but no movement up top.
And then he went down with a soft little thump and a look of disbelief on his face...

Did he give you that "I meant to do that" look? The first look is usually shock/embarrassment that you saw them do something silly and then they just give you the "Yeah, I meant to do it, so what". Then they just strut off I love the way they will sigh sometimes when they don't get what they want.. it's a little like a pout but it is a sigh. Big Stuff will throw himself down on the floor,( just collapse) on his side & sigh, and then not look at me for a while when he doesn't get his way

Love it Dan!!! No video needed....I could see it in my minds eye and I'm still laughing We have a combo of tile and wood here. And yes they spin their wheels till they hit the wood for sure! Lots of kitty tread marks

Glade it's working for you.. I'm just weird I want to see what they are doing and how much, but i sure do like the fan idea.. they can be a bit odoriferous Especially when Big Stuff goes.. man it's the size of our dog

I sure wish we had a wall in the garage that was connected to a good spot in the house. That is such a great idea, just no way to make it work at our house.
We've set up an area in the spare bedroom wit a big rug, and a screen is on the way. With Jenny's "issues" we have to be careful not to upset her. I'll post up a separate thread when the screen gets here...
