I bet that was one angry bobcat. Probably scared to death, as well.
Interestingly, during the several trips to Canada, we have never see a police officer. RCMP, or otherwise. I was on the lookout, hoping to do some patch trading.

Increase your speed Dan. That will get their attention Yeah, I've heard they are pretty strict on the speed limit. We had a heck of a time as the speedometer on our motorcycles are in MPH only, no second ring in kilometers like most cars have. I have a GPS that will give speed in both formats, so I switched it to metric and used it to monitor speed. It got confusing when I had a destination programmed in as well, as my distance judging in meters is highly suspect. I overshot a few turns, and slowed very prematurely for others. I also found myself running well over posted a several times, and had to turn it down a bit. Locals warned us that much over 10 KPH would result in a hefty ticket. That was kinda shocking to me, as it equals only 6MPH, and easy to have it get away from you. Most U.S. cops will let you get away with 10-15 MPH over posted before you will get stopped. We also noted that when running at the speed limit, we had many locals passing us, or riding our tails pretty hard. Great country though, very scenic, clean and all of the Canadians we met were helpful, friendly and proud of their home. The Sea to Sky Highway was just fantastic! We rode it early afternoon to dusk, and every corner revealed yet another breathtaking vista...
