I got home last night around midnight, Sugar had gone to bed around 11:00 Scooter was on the foot of the bed, and got a belly rub right before I went to bed. As soon as I laid down, Bella started her usual jumping around. Playing with toes under the covers, coming and going to get rings to toss around, mad spinning and leaping from one corner of the bed to the other (something she can do without touching down, btw). And just generally trying to play with me, Sugar and Scooter. I asked Sugar how long this had been going on, and she says, "Ever since I went to bed". Cute, but cute only lasts so long.
After about and hour of this, and trying to pet her to get her to settle down, Scooter had enough. He gets up and knocks her off the bed. Now, it's dark so the rest we only heard. Bella's usual squeak when she attacks Scooter, and there's some thumping sounds. Then we hear a low growl out of Scooter, and Bella trying to hiss and squeak. More thumps. More Bella squeaks. Silence...
Then Scooter jumps back up, curls up in his spot at the foot of the bed, and goes to sleep. No Bella. Then, 10 minutes later, she sneaks up on the bed, as far from Scooter's spot as she can get. Stands at my shoulder for a minute, and then flops down, all dejected, curls up and starts purring. She went to sleep almost immediately, no more racing around the bed.
Not sure what the conversation Scooter had with her was, but he got his point across...

Sounds like Scooter is becomming a grumpy old man! I'm the same way.. when it's bed time.. it's bed time! That is why we close the door to the bedroom at night.. can you imagine that with 12 of them! I know Tank and Trinket go at it almost all day.. they are a funny pair, she is so small ( but mighty) and he is such a big lug, but they romp and wrestle all the time.. So where was Jenny during all this?

I'm surprised you even have your cats in your bedroom Dan. There's no way that we can. The first night we had Emma and Blue, Blue jumped from the floor to the bed to the dresser to the top of the door that was half opened. I just laid there in fear that he was gonna pounce right on face! With the 3 of them....no way! So where WAS Jenny....hiding UNDER the bed?

She gets locked up in the spare bathroom every night. She has a litter box, food, a fluffy mat and her Nut-Hut to sleep in. It's the only way we have found to keep her from pooping on the spare bed. She actually likes her quiet time, if we stay up too late, she'll start pacing back and forth to the bathroom. As soon as her Nut-Hut comes out, she hightails it to the bathroom...
Scooter has been very patient with Bella. He has tolerated her jumping on him endlessly, pushing him out of the food bowl, and generally treating him like a 20 pound bouncy house. Last night was the straw that broke the DLX back. He had enough of her antics, and let her know...
