We have just finished the harvest.. it was the longest one ever with the drought things have been just a bummer! Our well is dry so we are living with water from the barn trucked up to the house.. pail after pail to bring water to the dogs and horses.. the cats of coarse are too spoiled for that so I have been buying water for them and us to drink.. washing hair with lobster pots filled with water as well as washing off the same way.. I feel like I'm living in Alaska off the grid Actually we have been laughing a lot .. not much else we can do! The well filled enough in the past week to get a load of laundry done and fill some more buckets from the good spring fed well. hopefully we will get some rain soon and go back to living like we are in the 21st century The kids are growing like weeds and Cappi is back out in the cattery .. so they are living with visits from the big guys to play with but run back to the craft room to hid when they get too rough.. they are so sweet and fun.... so that's a update on what I have been up to.. hope everyone is good.

It's turning cooler here on the island. Couple days of rain and wind. Our banana trees are starting to look like they've just gone through a monsoon! Gizmo is feeling like the big boss these days. Keeping Blue in check with any wrestling. He's still terrified of Emma tho Its Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada. We had our turkey last week since all of our boys were in town. It's not always about the day, more about the people. Halloween is just around the corner!

Yikes, no water is no bueno, Arlene. Hope the well fills up soon! It's getting cold here, too. We are down to the 80's every day, and it's freezing at night. We hit 65 the other night, dang near froze to death.
Love the Cartoon, Jackie!

BUT we have had a lot of rain so we hope it won't be too much longer now and we could have some water again.. I sure hope so.. can't wait to see it. I must say I am getting good at the bucket thing, just not a art I care to perfect, thank you very much.

YIPEEEE!!! Glad you are almost semi normal over there! Of course you'll never really live normal with all those cats romping around the way they do. Course what is normal when you have a life with cats and kittens...

Good deal Arlene, glad to hear you're getting water back. That had to be a big problem, with all the animals you guys have.

Yup, MUCHO PROBLEMO .. we take so much for granted, until we are with out! Water is a must, and like you said Dan with all the animals, it was not a fun time.. but we are good now
