The first new owners of the first litter of Rachel and mine.. I co-own Lynxi with Rachel and we bred her to Monster.. they had 4 beautiful babies.. On Monday Kyle Metzloff flew in from Wisc. for his family's new baby.. he lost his original guy not too long ago he has allergy's to cats but I sent him a blanket that I rubbed all over all my cats and let all of them lay on it.. he had no reaction, so since he had one from around 19 years ago he was thrilled to find they are still around so he has his new little girl and I think will also be getting a male in a little while .. you know how these potato chips are They were going to get 2 this time but the one little boy had a infection so until it is cleared up, or another litter is born with a boy, at least they have their little girl .. It's a great start!

Very cool. It'a amazing to me how many people are allergic to cats. We've had folks over here that don't know we have cats, and 10 minutes later they start sneezing. Then, they ask if we have cats because their allergies flared up.
Congratulations to Kyle, I glad he is able to tolerate the new arrival, and his allergies have subsided!

I've been thinking about this, and when I hear about someone being allergic to MY cats, I have found that the people who say their friends are allergic also usually have another domestic cat in the house.. I know Dan, you have jenny, Ali also had Cash, that he got from a shelter, but no one has ever come to my house or a house with only My Desert Lynx cats in it and had a reaction.. just saying.. Could it be the other domestic that they are reacting too??? If someone has only my cats in their house and have a friend or family member allergic to them.. let me know please.

Zach is the perfect example. They have three cats, and he is actually mildly allergic. He's fine being around them, but if he pets them and then touches his face, he'll get a reaction. He is usually careful to wash his hands, but sometimes forgets. It doesn't mater if he touches Belle, or the other two non-DLX cats they have. He'll get the same reaction from any of them. So, sorry Arlene, the DLX is not hypoallergenic...

I just said that "IF" people have other domestic cats around, they get more of a reaction.. maybe if the other cats were not around and Zach only had Belle, it MIGHT be different.. since she is in touch with the other cats and their dander is around the house to get on her, he has the same reaction..Geeez Sorry Dan.. hope you retire soon so we can really have a good CAT fight.. I think you are looking for one.. I'm HERE.. come on

He gets the same reaction from either of their two non-DLX cats, or when they are over at our house from Bella, Scooter or Jenny. And ironically, Jenny doesn't shed. At all. It's like her only redeeming feature...
I was talking to a gal Saturday night at a Christmas party. She has cat allergies, but her and her husband had a cat for 16 years, which passed about a year ago. She said that her allergies were really bad at first, but over the years she had built up a tolerance to the cat, and the last 5 years or so she had been pretty much symptom free. They got another cat, and and her allergies were back, worse than ever. She is hoping the tolerance comes back, as they are cat people. So, at least for Kyle (or anyone else that is allergic) hopefully he either doesn't have a problem, or if he does, let him know to give it time, and hopefully he can build up a tolerance as well.
On a side note, I was at Aflac yesterday changing over my policies. They had an Office Cat that greeted me at the counter. Her human asked if I was allergic to cats, and when I told her no, the Office Cat helped me with my paperwork. The world would be a lot nicer place, if there were more Office Cats around...
