The other morning as I walked out to give the cats their special diets on a tray.. I noticed our friend Greg was here at the dog compounds, so I opened the gate to the compound of the boys cattery, then the door to the cattery it's self, went in and put down the tray and went out to talk to Greg.. after about a good 10 to 15 minute talk I went back to clean and feed the boys first as I always do.. as I turned around the area I noticed that I had left the door to the boys cattery open as well as the compound gate! Mind you Simba is left to roam around the inside of the boys cattery so he is not closed up in a area like the other 2 boys, he is allowed this because he has never sprayed, and lets face it, he is special and I let him do whatever he wants.. that being said, he had left the compound.. I noticed him across the yard, he had gone over to the girls cattery, climbed the step and was sitting at their door pawing the glass door! It looked like he was knocking and asking if he could come in That's my boy! He could have gone anywhere, he could have ran away.. but he went over to see if the girls could use his service!

Oh, how I wish I could have one more litter from my Simba, but he is down to the end. It is so sad to see him , ( for me) He is getting so gray, I had to build a stairway for him to get to his sleeping bed, he used to jump up in it but can't do it any more, so with the new steps, he can get back in his bed,, I also had to widen his walk way to go to the outside compound, he fell a few times because he couldn't balance like he used to, I made a few adjustments here and there so he has a smile on his face again because he can do everything again..I know it won't be long but for the time we have, we are doing good.

I asked Simba if he wanted to give it one more try and he said YES!! So after arranging a breeding area for the old guy (amummm... with a few old man ramps)I brought him over and Kiki was so happy to see him.. after all he is her favorite guy.. so he is giving it a go and is very happy to at least have a chance to try. He was all puffed up and strutting around like a young stud again.. Made me happy to see him happy again, doing what he does best.. making ( or trying) to make beautiful babies.. I was going to spay Kiki and Cappi, but what the heck.. only live once!!!

Well of course he went where the girls are. He is a guy, after all. We all do that, regardless of our age...
