Hi Arlene, so sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Not familiar with Mainers Disease, but will research. Also, so sad about the kitten...it's hard enough to lose an old friend but even worse I think when its a baby.
Nothing has changed at all in the house. Agree with you, if Jenny was going to start doing something like this , it would have been when we brought Scoots home, but it might have been too that she missed Forrest so accepted Scooter and didn't think about being a "poop", no pun intended! HaHa!! Right now she is on the desk next to me, rubbing her head on my chin and purring. Definitely a Jeckyll and Hyde cat. She can be so loving and the next minute she is just hateful as all get out. Even Scooter will look at her like, "what the heck is wrong with you".
I'll make an appt with the vet just to check her out...I have to tell you though, that when she left us all her "presents" when we came back from Honolulu last January, I was looking for cat sanctuaries for her. Don't think I've ever been so mad at a cat as I was her...on the funny side, but a little disgusting as well, Scooter being the kitten he still is , had a blast with all the little dried pooh balls, thinking they were great toys because they rolled!! That took us two days to find all those! Still not sure whether to be mad at him or just laugh, but he is still a baby, so a toy of any kind is a toy!!
The other thing I was wondering about was maybe adding another large litter box in another area of the house. Maybe she just needs a little space of her own? What do you think?
Really appreciate the advice, at my wits end with her, but we do love her even as bad a stinker as she is.
Please feel better and send pics of the new babies! I still want a silver and Dan want's a snow, so the battle still rages!!
