Hi Everyone! This new Board is Arlene's idea, and actually pretty common on most forums. Use it to talk about anything, that is not related to Desert Lynx cats. How your day went, chickens in the kitchen, other interests or hobbies you may have, the weather in your area, the price of gasoline, where you went on vacation, etc., etc., etc... Have fun, and have at it! The only thing I would ask is to not post political opinions. Those discussions are best saved for political forums...

Thanks Dan.. I think we needed this.. how ever we can still talk about our cats as well :-) .. I saw where I think it was Sug and Jackie talking about the matt's for the food and water bowels.. I have found at our pet store they have rubber matt's with a lip on them, I have 2 of them.. one for the dog and one for the cat's. They are great, don't slip and catch the ''splash'' that these little devils make in water. I have invited the new owners on the forum but so far they seem to be very shy :-) Maybe this will bring them out of hiding???

I was wondering if we all need to email Kenny ( scissorhands) and give him a push to post pictures of Kioki and Bowser.. he promised to do it but so far all I got was lip service :-) I'm tempted to post his email address and have everyone bug him ! I have a few others that might need a push over the edge.. so far I think they just peek and run ! :-)

Hi Arlene! Sorry I've been so bad about getting on the forum..hope all is well and everyone is playful and happy! I've seen the mats with the lip on them..wish that would work for Scooter. His favorite thing to do is take the pieces of cat food out of the bowl and either bat them around and then pounce on a piece and eat it or he will "stash" 5 or 6 pieces under one of the dining room chairs and then come back to it later. Heaven help you if you move is "stash", 'cause he will just got get more pieces and put then exactly where you just picked up the previous ones. He had done this since we brought him home only he went from one piece to 5 or 6 now! Even Jenny knows to stay away from the "stash".. As far as the water bowls go, he doesn't play in them, he lays across both of them...even to the point where Jenny can't get a drink and she looks at you with that look like "seriously"..we have to run him off from the water bowls!! These cats have the greatest personality of any cat around!!

I think you just don't like the rubber matt's because they don't have roosters on them :-) Yes, these cat's are weird for sure but look who bred them :-) I have a few that do the same thing with the dogs bowel, they won't let her eat or drink , they LOVE the dog's water bowl and drink from it all the time, poor Ghost she just sit's and watches, she isn't allowed near the cat's food or water so she thinks it just suck's that they can have hers.. not fair! They even will eat the dog food! Mine will play in the water untill the bowl is empty, just stand in it and splash like crazy.

Yes...I agree. Ron has been mostly a peeper. He tells me what he wants to say. I've told him to do it himself (There...I told on you Ron cause I know you're reading this ) I started up a youtube account to post my videos. I have also commented on some of the videos cause I wondered why they call their cats a Desert Lynx when they have a tail? In the UK, they get papers saying it's a DL and it has a tail...some don't. That really bugged me. I'm a DL snob cause apparently they didn't like my response and called me a troll and BLOCKED me Hahaha...I don't care. I'm closing that account and changing my user name cause I didn't realise it would be right out there as my own. I've seen soo many DL videos now that I just get frustrated so if you want to change the name Arlene...I'll back you 110%. That's my 3 cents worth Hope you all had a good day. I got the payroll done in record time, worked out with my best GF, then off for salad and a glass of wine, trainer and his gf in tow. We only have him till the end of July. Then he's getting out of Dodge to pursue his love of music. Going to College in Nelson BC then to Berkley. He'll be a grown man in his 30's when he's done. My friend and I started training with him when he hardly had hair on his face. Do any of you train or workout? Don't get me wrong...I'm no hard arm...just training for a healthy life. I'm actually the biggest I've ever been without child to date It's only shocking to me when I walk past a mirror....other than that...I feel great ;D As far as mats go...I had to find one that was not smooth. It's the only thing that stopped them from scratching beside the fountain and lifting up the matt and moving the fountain off the matt onto the laminate. We'll be having tile in kitchen of our new house JUST for this reason. You should mention the brand of this matt you've found Arlene. Chickens! Chickens!! Sugar has the master collection! My first love is fruit but when Ron and I got married and brought 4 boys into the mix...I thought a Rooster decor was suiting. I noticed that we tend to post pictures of our cats. So here you have a picture of Ron and I. Cheers everyone <3

Awwww, great picture of you guys! Sugar & I were in Nanaimo last year. We took a 4300 mile motorcycle trip across Canada. We hit two Providences, and nine States. Here's a video of us leaving the ferry and arriving in Nanaimo. I bet Jackie & Ron recognize this road. Click the picture to play the video...

That's Departure Bay terminal. My parents have a house on the water there. Many great childhood memories. The way you're passing the bikes on Stewart Ave. looks as if you may be speeding. And it is a Radar Zone.

And it is a Radar Zone. Yeah, I probably was. We were trying to catch up with our riding partner, the guy on the blue and black bike at the end of the video... I had a heck of a time with the KPH while there, Harley speedometers don't have KPH on the dial... We didn't get stopped the whole trip, but the locals told us the police have very little tolerance for much over posted... Beautiful country, we had a fantastic time and loved every minute there. Victoria Island was just spectacular!!!

My Friend Sarrah used to breed my cat's in Wales, but since Lion passed away she spayed the girls and is no longer breeding.. there is a lady in the UK that got some of the faux DLX and is breeding them, how ever she never finished paying for the cat's she got from the breeder.. we all know they don't have a real DLX but if they want to think so.. who care's, I know I'm so over it.. been fighting this for over a decade.. I don't like the other groups, and for sure they don't like me but thats just fine with me.. :-) So you give them what's for Jackie !!

Yup, Jackie, I work out every day !! 17 litter boxes cleaned 2 times each day .. I do 150 deep knee bends while this task is being done as well as hauling off the 25 pounds of dirty litter from them , then it's refill the containers, with food, water, and new litter another 20#.. then it's on to the floor's in both cattery's, when I finish that there are the one's in the house to do and lets not forget the 35 dog's and the 9 horses.. thank goodness I don't have to also work in the vineyard.. Kim does that ! :-) So I get a good work out everyday :-) I think you look teriffic ! So don't worrie about it, just have another peice of cake and remember all the women who passed up the cake on the Titanic that night .. go for it.. life is too short to worry about that :-) I meen it, you look great!!
Oh, I have a question .. Why do you think these cat's feel the need to refill the litter box as soon as it's cleaned?? I know mine go right in as soon as I finish so I have to go back again right after I just did them !! I think they feel thay are giving me something I like.. It's like "here comes mom .. she loves this stuff, she comes for it everyday so I want her to know this is from me"! Do yours do that as well ? The little one's like to bat at the clump ball's as I scoop as well .. just knocking them back out of the scoop.. brat's :-)
